Ingredients for the crust/batter
- 3 medium apples (peeled and cored — weigh about 300 g after peeling)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- A pinch of salt
Optional topping- Sugar and cinnamon, to taste
- A few thin apple slices for decoration

Directions
- Blend the wet ingredients
- In a blender, add the chopped apples, sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
- Blend until smooth.
- Combine with the dry ingredients
- In a bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Pour the blended mixture over the dry ingredients and gently mix until combined.
- Assemble the pie
- Transfer the batter to a greased baking pan.
- If you like, place thin apple slices on top and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
- Bake
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (350 °F) for about 35–45 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Finish and serve
- Let it cool slightly before removing from the pan.
- Serve on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
